Grief and Trauma Coaching for Parents of Teens
"Out of the Shadows"...
Because your family's story deserves light, support and a steady place to land.
Out of the Shadows™ is a 12‑week trauma‑informed grief support coaching experience that helps parents of teens navigating unexpected hard seasons, go from "I don't know what to do" to learning how to process and regulate their emotions, communicate with clarity, and show up with calm, confidence, and connection to support their teen, without losing themselves to fear, guilt, or “fix‑it” mode.
Parents can expect a first major shift within 6 weeks and full integration in 12 weeks.
When your teenager is struggling, it can feel like your entire world has shifted. As parents, it's easy to put your own needs aside, but parents carry grief and trauma too.
Whether your family has been impacted by mental health challenges, sexual assault, substance use, self-harm, suicide loss, or another traumatic experience, you may be carrying grief and trauma that few people recognize.
As a Certified Trauma-Informed Grief Coach, I help parents process the emotional weight they're carrying so they can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and hope.
Through my Out of the Shadows™ program, you'll have a safe place to process your own experience while learning practical ways to support your teen and family.
What Is Grief Coaching for Parents?
Grief isn't only about losing someone you love.
Sometimes grief comes from losing the future you imagined for your child. The sense of safety you once felt. The family life you expected. The trust that everything would be okay.
Many parents experience grief and trauma after:
- A teen's mental health diagnosis
- Sexual assault
- Suicide attempts or suicide loss
- Substance use
- Dating violence
- Trauma
- Self-harm
- Family crisis
These experiences affect the entire family. Yet parents are often expected to keep everyone else afloat while quietly carrying their own pain.
You deserve support too.
Out of the Shadows™: A 12-Week Grief Coaching Program for Parents
Out of the Shadows™ is a private, one-on-one coaching program designed specifically for parents and caregivers of teenagers navigating trauma, grief, and crisis.
Over twelve weekly 60-minute sessions, we'll create space for your healing while helping you develop practical tools to support your family.
This is compassionate, trauma-informed coaching that helps you understand your grief and trauma, process your experiences, and move forward toward healing and reclaiming your family story without carrying everything alone.

Why Parents Need Support Too
When a teenager is in crisis, the focus naturally shifts to getting them help.
But parents are often left carrying invisible grief and trauma.
You're expected to stay strong, make difficult decisions, advocate for your child, and keep your family moving forward, even while navigating your own heartbreak.
Ignoring your own grief doesn't make it disappear.
When parents receive support, they're often better equipped to care for their teens, communicate effectively, and create a stronger foundation for healing at home.
